<span style="font-family: "Arial","sans-serif"; mso-bidi-font-family: "Times New Roman"; mso-bidi-theme-font: minor-bidi;">Today aspects of Mithraism,
the worship of the Persian sun god Mithra, are found among the major precepts
of mainstream Christianity. About 20 years ago, I had no idea that was the case
- but it’s true. </span><br />
<br />
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;">
<span style="font-family: "Arial","sans-serif"; mso-bidi-font-family: "Times New Roman"; mso-bidi-theme-font: minor-bidi;"><span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>What most people will never hear in church is
that during the first few centuries after the time of Christ, Mithraism became
one of the chief rivals of Christianity and its influences are still with us
today.</span></div>
<br />
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;">
<span style="font-family: "Arial","sans-serif"; mso-bidi-font-family: "Times New Roman"; mso-bidi-theme-font: minor-bidi;"><span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>The first Biblical references to the Persian
sun god Mithra are found in the Book of Ezra. The setting of the book opens
with the city of Jerusalem having been destroyed by Nebuchadnezzar. Its
treasures and the former inhabitants of Judaea are in Babylonian captivity.
Darius, king of the Median Empire, had conquered the Babylonians; and Cyrus is
now on the throne of the powerful Medo-Persian empire.</span></div>
<br />
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;">
<span style="font-family: "Arial","sans-serif"; mso-bidi-font-family: "Times New Roman"; mso-bidi-theme-font: minor-bidi;"><span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>In chapter one we read of a proclamation by
Cyrus that the temple in Jerusalem should be rebuilt. Thus saith Cyrus King of
Persia, The LORD God of heaven hath given me all the kingdoms of the earth; and
he hath charged me to build him an house at Jerusalem, which is in Judah. </span></div>
<br />
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;">
<span style="font-family: "Arial","sans-serif"; mso-bidi-font-family: "Times New Roman"; mso-bidi-theme-font: minor-bidi;"><span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>While on the surface it would seem that Cyrus
respected the God of the Bible, YHWH Elohim, that is really not the case. We
find that when Cyrus would conquer an area it was his policy to restore the
worship of the local gods. </span></div>
<br />
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;">
<span style="font-family: "Arial","sans-serif"; mso-bidi-font-family: "Times New Roman"; mso-bidi-theme-font: minor-bidi;"><span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>His favor toward the temple in Jerusalem is
not indicative of his knowledge of YHWH: in fact, Scripture plainly states that
Cyrus did not know the God of the Bible. Inscriptions on the famous Cyrus
Cylinder document his worship of Marduk, also known in Babylon as Bel, or Baal.
Even so, God used Cyrus to accomplish His purpose, just as He earlier had used
Nebuchadnezzar.<o:p></o:p></span></div>
<br />
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;">
<span style="font-family: "Arial","sans-serif"; mso-bidi-font-family: "Times New Roman"; mso-bidi-theme-font: minor-bidi;"><span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>As we continue with the Biblical account, we
are told, "Cyrus the king brought forth the vessels of the house of the
LORD, which Nebuchadnezzar had brought forth out of Jerusalem, and had put them
in the house of his gods; Even those did Cyrus king of Persia bring forth by
the hand of Mithredath the treasurer; Notice the name Mithredath. The meaning
of that name as found in the Book of Ezra is "The Gift of Mithra."</span></div>
<br />
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;">
<span style="font-family: "Arial","sans-serif"; mso-bidi-font-family: "Times New Roman"; mso-bidi-theme-font: minor-bidi;"><span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>The influence of Mithraism did not end in Old
Testament times. Today many aspects of Contemporary Christianity have nothing
to do with Jesus and are actually "The Gift of Mithra." Let’s return
that gift back to its rightful owner.<o:p></o:p></span></div>

<span style="font-family: "Arial","sans-serif"; mso-bidi-font-family: "Times New Roman"; mso-bidi-theme-font: minor-bidi;"><span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>As you may know, I have produced a Book and 5
DVD Study Series entitled Time is the Ally of Deceit. The Study Series exposes
the blending of pagan sun worship with the faith of those who walked and talked
with Christ - a blend that took place step by step - over time - thus the title
Time is the Ally of Deceit. If you’re interested in more information regarding
the Mithraism, the Study Series is available in the World Net Daily Superstore.
The third chapter and third DVD provide a wealth of information regarding the
Persian sun god. You can also learn more by visiting my website www.toolong.com<o:p></o:p></span></div>

<br />
"I was invited to a gathering one time, where their brochure
announced there would be a worship leader demonstrating radical
worship... the term "radical worship" did cause me to think of a
couple of instances in the Bible which I would describe as being
radical worship. Job, a righteous man, afflicted by Satan with
God´s permission so that he lost almost everything, and was
afflicted with a very severe skin disease and sat in a pile of
ashes, worshipping God. I would call that very radical."
-George H. Warnock<br />
<br />
"You dedicate and then God consecrates." - Keith Daniel<br />
<br />
"Men tell us they were thrilled when John Hyde prayed. They were
stirred to their inmost being when he just pleaded the name "Jesus!
Jesus! Jesus!" and a baptisim of love and power came upon them.
But it was not John Hyde: it was the Holy Spirit of God whom one
consecrated man, filled with that Spirit, brought down upon all
around him. May we not all become "Praying Hydes"?'

"If no immediate choice has to be made, one should wait. The Lord
orders our stops as well as our steps. When the time comes that
a decision must be made, one can proceed in the direction that
seems best. As you conscientiously seek His guidance, He will
not let you make a wrong choice." - George Mueller<br />
<br />
"A soul-winner can do nothing without God. He must cast himself
on the Invisible, or be a laughing-stock to the devil, who regards
with utter disdain all who think to subdue human nature with mere
words and arguments."

The sun is beating down and the streets are deserted. Times are tough, everybody is in debt, and everybody attempts to survive on credit<br /><br />On this particular day a tourist from down south is driving through town , he stops at the local Hotel and lays a $100 bill on the desk saying he wants to hire a room for a few hours for a shower etc.<br /><br />He is given keys to a room and as soon as the man walks upstairs, the owner grabs the $100 bill and runs next door to pay his debt to the Butcher.<br /><br />The Butcher takes the $100 and runs down the street to repay his debt to the pig farmer.<br /><br />The pig farmer takes the $100 and heads off to pay his bill at the Farmers Co-op.<br /><br />The guy at the Farmer's Co-op takes the $100 and runs to pay his drinks bill at the hotel.<br /><br />The publican puts the $100 back on the counter so the traveller will not suspect anything.<br /><br />When the traveler comes down the stairs, he buys a drink and pockets the remainder of the money, and leaves town.<br /><br /><span style="font-weight:bold;">No one produced anything. A favourite saying I heard in the last few weeks is:<br /><br />"The ultimate ignorance is the rejection of something you know nothing about, & refuse to investigate" (Wayne Dyer).<br />Or as in scripture<br />1Peter 2:15-16 Because thusly is the will of Yahweh: doing good to muzzle the ignorance of foolish men, as free men yet not as if having freedom for a cover for evil, but as servants of Yahweh.<br /><br />So we are assisted to seek truth & ignore foolish people. Some people's belief is their truth, but it is not necessarily THE truth. It is a fine line.<br /><br />More on this later, but a final brief line from the book of truth. These saying manifest themselves thru so called wise me. I heard someone the other day saying his father always said, don't argue with a fool because that creates 2.<br /><br />Similarly here we have:<br />Pro 26:4 Answer not a fool according to his folly, lest thou also be like unto him.<br /><br />But the very next line says to do the opposite. Why? Maybe so that the fool cannot get away with a lie & believe himself to be a speaker of truth.<br />Pro 26:5 Answer a fool according to his folly, lest he be wise in his own conceit.<br /><br />So stand up for your truth, whatever it be.Anthttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09010727413967811438noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4374500459034093833.post-54513586252836456152010-02-26T03:46:00.000-08:002010-02-26T15:54:47.521-08:00Welcome to truth as I see itThis will be a repository of all my views on a few subjects. I want to have a simple link to a site where I can send people to read rather than repeat in emails. Makes sense (to me at least). There are many things that distract everyone everyday...all driven by the black box in your 'living room' (or your propaganda room). Do you live there? If so, there is more to life than listening to state-sanctioned propaganda on a mass scale. Get out & search the truth yourself. My self-discovery began many years ago. Little did I know that was not me! I continue & seek truth as I see it, backed by scripture.<br /><br />Welcome to the matrix....you may find the blue pill or the red pill here. Either way you are already in the matrix. What you choose as your opinion is yours alone. You live with it. As do I.<br /><br />See you on the inside<br /><br />AntAnthttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09010727413967811438noreply@blogger.com0
